How To Be "In The Zone" - Consistent High Performance
To be “in the zone”, consistent high performance, our mindset must have a program readily available. Sure, each of us has specific expertise we use to create solutions for our businesses to grow. As a mindset, mood, and mental motivation expert, how do you make your thought process better?

Having worked with business leaders and athletes, one “way to think” so you can be “in the zone”, consistent high performance on the job is to do the following:

1. Use logical emotion – simply create a phrase that includes both logic and emotion. I put logic first to force you to think first. However, logic without emotion is dangerous and emotion without logic is dangerous. An example of a logical emotion phrase I use when at the airport security check is “get through the gate without a delay”. The logic part of the phrase is “through the gate” the emotion part, usually the reward, is “without a delay”. It’s a reward because by doing so you save time.

2. Visualize – this is done through stories, thoughts, words, people moment, and images.
The story is from a speech or something you read. Thoughts are simply your analysis of the situation, people moment is a snapshot of inspiration, words are from a conversation or something you heard, and images are what you need to see to successfully accomplish your goal.

As you use logical emotion and then visualize using one or more inputs, you are then “in the zone”. Your mindset is tuned up for high performance.

Often, we miss this step in accomplishing our goals and tasks. Therefore, our mindset is not primed for consistent high performance. Our results are weakened. When you take a few seconds to program your mindset before attending a meeting, making a sales call, interviewing, and performing your job, you are able to produce “in the zone” results. It’s a lot more fun being “in the zone”.
